Can you point out a time when he’s expressed racism on video? If you look at anything else he’s ever said, there’s no racism.

nope. you got me there. 

that doesn’t refute anything i said before, though. 

maybe he’s not racist himself (doubtful) but he let bigoted content go out under his name for twenty years. something about that doesn’t seem right to me. if what you are saying is the case, something about him not reading what’s going out under his name and being careless about that doesn’t seem right to me. 

Part of what’s addressed in the video is that all of the racist content was only in a few issues released over a span of a less than three years, not twenty. He was a practicing OB/GYN at the time, and while he did write some of the economic articles in the letter, the name was more of a marketing tool, and he allowed others to manage the letter for him. Bad idea? In hindsight, yes. That’s why he disavowed the letters and took responsibility for failing to ensure their quality.

thank you for that, my attention span is about half of what it normally is right now so i was not about to sit through that entire video to be completely honest 

i’m still not buying it and i think faulting people who do is completely justified. meh that could go either way though

i think the entire situation exhibits the extent of his irresponsibility and that’s not something i’d like to see in a president. not at all.

It is a valid criticism. But when you consider that he’s never said anything that sounds even remotely like the questionable content on camera, that his policies don’t reflect those kinds of view, and that the media will say anything to make him look bad, I’m inclined to believe him and forgive him for that oversight.

Plus, the alternative candidates are provably terrible, so…
