I am autistic, have severe anxiety, and a sensory disorder. You know what I always found kinda funny? Mentally challenged people are not offended by the word “retarded” because it’s not even a word for us. Only able people are ever offended by the worded retarded, or insane, etc. Just like my gay friends are never offended when someone calls them “fag”, because it’s not even a correct term to refer to them.
Whoever sent that message needs to go fuck themselves. The world doesn’t revolve around your internalized bigotry. Using bigoted slurs is wrong because it reinforces systems of oppression.
